Let AI take the stress out of it!

Artificial Intellgence - AI

It happens every day, all over the world: incoming mail has to be processed. Even in the digital age, companies face a jumble of cover letters, delivery bills, contracts, purchase orders and invoices. Thus, scanned PDFs and paper mail often wander through offices for days in search of their reviewer or signer, and afterwards everything still has to be correctly accounted for and archived.

What is artificial intelligence?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology based on machine learning that simulates human intelligence processes based on artificial neural networks. In the context of process automation, autonomous decision-making capability is given to applications through a combination of advanced algorithms in order to carry out automated processes and decisions.

....and how does this work exactly?

AI services for efficient processes

AI services are designed and developed by data scientists based on the requirements of your specific processes. Experts take care of the structure and function of the algorithm, train the AI and ensure its seamless integration into the process.

Trained AI can be re-trained at any time to exploit additional potential. Retraining takes place in an additional infrastructure so that the retrained AI can replace the existing version without interrupting ongoing operations.

Architecture

There is a development cycle for setting up and training the AI and the operational cycle for ongoing operation. This ensures that the learning unit (development cycle) and the executing unit (operational cycle) are handled separately. This allows the AI to be trained in a specially adapted data center. Once training is complete, the AI is made available again via the Scheer PAS platform.

Interfaces, monitoring, usage

The interfaces required for the use of AI are centrally managed and secured in our API Management component. They can be made available to developers, partners and customers via the associated Developer Portal.

To ensure the most efficient use of AI, the central monitoring function can identify peak times when the AI is under greater load or times when the AI can be paused. This enables optimal use of resources and high availability of your AI, whether on-premises or in the cloud.

Artificial intelligence and standards

We apply the latest standards of AI standardization. In this way, we ensure that AI use cases are implemented sustainably, ethically and according to the latest safety standards "Made in Germany".

By participating in the creation of the "DEUTSCHE NORMUNGSROADMAP KÜNSTLICHE INTELLIGENZ" (German Standardization Roadmap Artificial Intelligence), we as Scheer PAS are involved from the very beginning and incorporate the latest standards into our platform.

Why AI with Scheer PAS?

  • Seamless integration of artificial intelligence into the process
  • Separation of development/training and ongoing operations
  • Automatic scaling of AI use for higher or lower loads
  • Reuse of AI service for multiple processes
  • Facility to separate infrastructure components
    • Training on critical data in the company network
    • Execution of AI in the cloud (only metadata in the form of a fully-trained model leaves the company)
    • Option to train in the Scheer cloud with potential for cost reduction
